FIREHAWKS in Sydney Tuesday, May 14, 2013 - 14:21

FIREHAWKS entertain AMA members

The best band in Mauritius, FIREHAWKS, visited Australia in March 2013 and the AMA was invited to host their visit in Sydney.

On Saturday 16th March, about 300 people packed a church hall in Bankstown to celebrate the anniversary of the Independance of Mauritius and danced the night away to the fantastic music produced by this group of 7 talented musicians.

For most of us there was a certain amount of nostalgy as 2 of their prerformers were the sons of Karl Brasse and Gerard Cimiotti.

The dance floor was rocking all night as they took us through their repertoire going back to the 60s, 70s, 80s and of course some segas.   WHAT A NIGHT !!!!!!!

PICNIC 2013 Tuesday, May 14, 2013 - 14:06

Picnic revellers 2013

On Sunday 3rd March about 40 members gathered at the Lake Pavilion, Homebush Bay on a magnificent autumn day to share a beautiful lunch of roast beef, pork, salads and bread , provided by the AMA.  The atmosphere, as usual, was friendly and a lot of fun and laughter was on the menu. Many a story was told and many laughs were spontaneous. Make this YOUR picnic next year.
